Upgraded protection for colder, windier camps

Compared with the standard Stars 2, the Stars 2 Pro adds a full windproof inner tent with raised floor edges, plus two additional door ventilation windows—for four adjustable vents in total. This gives you a more protected sleeping space while allowing greater control over airflow as conditions change.

The TFS The Free Spirits Stars 2 Pro is a freestanding, 2-person, 4-season backpacking tent with a stable cross-pole structure, two entrances and two side vestibules. Its 220 × 135 cm inner floor provides 2.97 m² of sleeping space, while the twin vestibules give each camper a separate place for boots and wet gear.

Weather protection with adjustable ventilation

The windproof inner uses fabric walls and raised floor edges to help reduce drafts and protect the living space in cold conditions. Both sides have separate inner and outer doors; the inner doors combine windproof fabric and mesh, allowing you to adjust ventilation to suit the weather. Four cross-ventilation windows on the fly help promote airflow and reduce condensation.

Lightweight, reinforced construction

The flysheet is made from 15D 400T high-tenacity ripstop nylon with a single-sided silicone coating and fluorine-free waterproofing. It has a stated 5,000 mm hydrostatic head and weighs approximately 655 g on its own. Critical stress points are reinforced with UHMWPE fabric to improve resistance to tearing and abrasion.

Designed for a secure pitch

Four sets of Dyneema guylines with UHMWPE cores and dual anchor points provide additional support in exposed conditions. The specification images show 9.6 mm DAC NSL aluminium poles and DAC J-stakes; select the appropriate pole option on the product page where applicable.

Seam-Sealing

The Stars 2 Pro uses a silicone-coated flysheet. This construction cannot be machine seam-taped, but its expanding sewing thread improves water resistance as it becomes wet. For prolonged or heavy rain, we recommend applying silicone seam sealer to the inner fly seams before use. Seam sealer is included with Stars 2 Pro UK-stock orders; apply a thin, even coat and allow it to cure fully in a cool, ventilated area before pitching.
