Mountain Spring Yan Ultralight Folding Foam Mat

Mountain Spring’s Yan (燕) is a true ultralight sleeping mat for ounce-counters who still want real backcountry function. Yan (燕) means “swallow”—sleek, agile, and weightless on the wind.

At as little as 103 g, Yan delivers meaningful ground insulation with almost no pack penalty. Use it as a minimalist folding foam mat for fast-and-light trips, or layer it under an inflatable camping mattress to protect your air pad from abrasion and add a noticeable warmth boost. Its closed cell foam mat construction won’t absorb water, stays reliable in rough conditions, and keeps performing even when the ground is damp.

Built with upgraded IXPP foam, Yan balances low thermal conductivity (to slow heat loss to the ground) with improved durability and rebound for long-term use. Choose from multiple size options to match your style—simple sit-pad coverage or full-length sleep—while glacier-inspired colours keep a clean, modern look and high visibility on trail.
